Mandisa, ‘American Idol’ singer and Grammy winner, dies at 47

Grammy-winning artist Mandisa, who rose to popularity on season five of “American Symbol,” has passed on, her agent said Friday. She was 47.

“We can affirm that yesterday Mandisa was seen as in her home departed,” her delegate said in a proclamation to NBC News. “Right now we don’t have the foggiest idea about the reason for death or any further subtleties.”

“We request your requests for her family and affectionate circles during this unbelievably troublesome time,” the assertion closed.

She was found dead in her Nashville home, as per The Tennessean.

A post on the craftsman’s Facebook page said early Friday: “Mandisa was a voice of consolation and truth to individuals confronting life’s difficulties from one side of the planet to the other. She composed this tune for a dear companion who had passed in 2017.”

“Her own words say all that needs to be said. I’m now home/You must lay it down/because Jesus holds me now —/And I’m in good company.”

The vocalist, whose complete name is Mandisa Lynn Hundley, shot to fame in the wake of putting 10th on “American Icon.” She proceeded to win a Grammy for Best Contemporary Christian Music Collection in 2014 for her collection “Overcomer.”

Initially from Sacramento, California, Mandisa grew up singing in chapel and concentrated on vocal execution at American Stream School, and proceeded with her examinations at Fisk College in Nashville, Tennessee, as per her record name craftsman bio. After school, she functioned as a meeting and reinforcement entertainers for craftsmen including Shania Twain and Trisha Yearwood prior to going on “American Icon.”

In 2017, the vocalist told “Great Morning America” that she fell into a profound wretchedness in 2014 and nearly ended her own life following the passing of her dear companion, Lakisha Mitchell, who had bosom disease.

“It got quite terrible — to the place where in the event that I had not gotten off that street I wouldn’t be staying here today,” Mandisa said. “I was this near standing by listening to that voice that told me, ‘You can be with Jesus at the present time, Mandisa. You should simply end your life.'”

“It practically worked out. However, God is what I say. He saved my life plainly,” she added.

She uncovered that in her dull state, she depended on close to home eating and separation.
