With just 15 days until Election Day, the race between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump remains tight, according to recent polls, which indicate a margin-of-error contest. However, in terms of campaign fundraising, Harris holds a commanding lead over Trump.
According to new federal filings, the Harris campaign raised $221.8 million in September, more than three times the $63 million brought in by the Trump campaign. A significant portion of Harris’s funds came from high-profile celebrity fundraisers in Los Angeles and San Francisco. This substantial financial edge has allowed Harris to dominate spending, particularly in paid media and advertising, giving her a major advantage as the final days of the campaign approach.
Since taking over as the Democratic nominee three months ago, Harris has consistently outraised and outspent Trump, and this trend continued in the critical final stretch of the election.
